About Carmelo's in downtown Austin
Carmelo’s Ristorante is Austin’s answer to an authentic Sicilian kitchen spiced with continental chic. All the ingredients are here the pungent smells of garlic, the irresistible sounds of an accordion, a collection of limestone buildings that open out to a charming piazza recreating the village of Taormina where Carmelo was born and, of course, a sundry of the best Italian pastas, wines and desserts.
Established in 1985, Carmelo’s is located in the historic “Old Depot Hotel” at Fifth and Red River near the Austin Convention Center. Open for lunch weekdays from 11-2:30, Carmelo’s is open for dinner Sunday through Thursday from 5-10:30 and Friday and Saturday until 11. Carmelo’s Houston, est. 1981, is located at 14795 Memorial Drive west of Dairy Ashford.
Private Parties at Carmelo's Austin
Carmelo’s four private rooms accommodate from 10 to 300 people at a time for banquets, holiday parties, business meetings and receptions. Large groups of conventioneers or visitors can be seated at a moment’s notice if a room is available.
