About the County Line in Austin, TX
Since 1975 the County Line Austin Smokehouse and Grill has been serving up the biggest, leanest, most consistently awesome barbeque in the state. But that's just the half of it. Whether it's at the top of the Texas Hill Country or right on Lake Austin, our dramatic settings and fun, roadside cafe atmospheres are as unique and legendary as the food we serve!  

You don't think we'd let you get away without some Texas barbecue, did you? Both County Line on the Lake and County Line on the Hill are best bets for successions of smoky barbecued brisket, hefty beef and pork ribs, juicy sausage and chicken, and plenty of fixings.  All served amid 1940s roadhouse decor and picturesque outdoor decks and patios.

The Original County Line!  Located in an historic old "Speak-easy", this County Line offers an incredible 20 mile view of the beautiful Texas Hill Country. Sunsets are spectacular!  It's open for dinner only 7 days a week and features a full line of grilled goodies including fish, chicken, and a full line of steaks. 
   
The secret to our success? County Line smokes their meat for about 20 hours daily, resulting in the most mouth-wateringly tender barbecue you'll ever devour. Below you'll find some of the items on the best Texas BBQ menu period!

Here's how it works.  You get a big platter of meat (beef ribs, brisket, and sausage), and generous bowls of potato salad, cole slaw, and beans.

Blue Plate Specials

Grilled Chicken Kabobs, Grilled Vegetarian Kabobs, County Line Special, Beef Kabobs, New York Strip 12oz, Rib Eye 10oz, Tenderloin 8oz.  All served with a large baked potato, cole slaw, and beans.
