About About Gracie Mansion in New York City

Gracie Mansion is a beautiful historic house museum built in 1799 overlooking the bend in the East River five miles north of the city. The house sits on the same site as Belview Mansion, commandeered by George Washington during the American Revolutionary War, it was captured by the British and destroyed. It is now the official residence of the mayor of New York and it is also used to accommodate visiting officials and guest of the mayor. Gracie Mansion offers General Tours on most Wednesday and Tuesday Afternoon Tea Tours.

Tours Offered at Gracie Mansion in New York City


General Tours

Are offered on most Wednesdays at 10 AM, 11 AM, 1 PM and 2 PM. General admission is $7 for adults, $4 for seniors, and students are admitted free of charge. Tours last approximately forty-five minutes.


Tea Tours

Are available for groups of 25-50 people on Tuesdays and Thursdays at $25 per person. A delicious selection of homemade tea sandwiches, teacakes and scones are served.
