Hamilton Pool is a beautiful swimming hole nestled in the Hill Country about 20 miles west of Austin off Highway 71. This natural swimming pool, formed by a collapsed grotto is supplied by a 60-foot waterfall. The rock formation serves as a unique backdrop to the cool, blue-green water, which flows down a magical tree-lined creek, to the Perdenales River.
Swimming is allowed only when the water quality meets safe standards. Water quality is monitored regularly. Updated information is provided on the park's telephone recorder message. Please call 512-264-2740 for park conditions.
